Takeuchi’s new Lithium-Ion battery powered compact excavator

By ACT Construction EquipmentUpdated February 2023

Takeuchi is committed to reducing their environmental footprint. Their most recent release of the TB20e compact excavator is just the beginning of the future of the construction equipment industry.

The increase of Lithium-Ion battery powered machines is inevitable and Takeuchi has joined the movement. With their new TB20e battery powered compact excavator, customers will experience the same performance, serviceability, and reliability that comes with all Takeuchi machines.

A large advantage of a battery powered machine, other than the positive impact on the environment, is the zero exhaust emissions the machine produces which allows for operation indoors without any additional ventilation. The machine also has reduced noise and vibration levels which further expands the types of environments in which you can work.

On a single charge, the TB20e will run for four to eight hours depending on the working environment.

The TB20e features include:

  • Operating weight: 4,255 lbs
  • Bucket capacity: 1.34 cubic feet
  • Primary auxiliary flow: 9.0 gpm
  • Maximum reach: 13 ft. 4 in.
  • Maximum digging depth: 7 ft. 10.1 in.
  • Comfortable operator’s station
  • High-definition and multi-informational color display

If you are looking to step into the world of more environmentally conscious machines or find yourself working on projects that require work indoors, the TB20e is the perfect choice.
