The Extendo 1046X is a 10,000-pound capacity machine with a lift height of up to 46 feet, 5 inches. It is available with a Cummins or a Deutz Tier 4 Final diesel engine. The DOC muffler on the 74-horsepower Deutz Tier 4 Final diesel engine eliminates the need for diesel exhaust fluid (DEF). Side pod mounting allows for quick service access while maintaining excellent curbside visibility and ground clearance. The drivetrain and axles have been designed to deliver more tractive effort with the least amount of compromise in top end speed.
High steer axles from the Dana 212 Series provide exceptional tractive effort. While the tight steer angle capability allows for a smaller turning radius. The Dana VDT12000 Powershift transmission offers three speeds, forward, reverse, and the full time 4-wheel drive offers a limited-slip front axle differential.
The hydraulic circuit of the Extendo provides remarkable controllability, efficiency, and cycle speeds.
Cylinder cushioning dampens the end of strokes – both extending and retracting – to avoid forceful, jarring stops and wear-and-tear as well as dangerous load spillage.
Formed boom plates provide better boom strength while weighing less. The boom deflection has been reduced for improved control and accuracy when laying loads.
To offer smoother operation and lower contact stresses on worn pads, boom overlap was nearly doubled, and the bottom-mounted external extend cylinder rescues wear on the wear pads while the cylinder location also providing greater service access to internal boom components.
The compression tilt design allows for a smaller bore cylinder while maintaining the same tilt force.
