The Extendo 1256X takes rugged Pettibone performance to new levels. With a load capacity of 12,000 pounds and a 4-section boom, the 1256X is the ideal machine for demanding operations. Powered by a 117-horsepower Cummins QSF3.8 Tier 4 Final diesel engine with DEF and SCR aftertreatment. Side pod mounting allows for quick service access while maintaining excellent curbside visibility and ground clearance. The 4-section boom has constructed boom plates that provide better strength while weighing less. Boom deflection has been reduced for improved control and accuracy when placing loads, while the boom overlap was nearly doubled to offers smoother operation and lower contact force on wear pads.
The 1256X includes standard axle-mounted outriggers. The machine chassis will sway independent of the outrigger system, and the position of the outriggers allow unobstructed view out to the fork tips. The hydraulic circuit of the Extendo provides remarkable controllability, efficiency, and cycle speeds, while the cylinder cushioning dampens the end of strokes – both extending and retracting – to avoid forceful, jarring stops and wear-and-tear as well as dangerous load spillage.
